Poor communication, unprofessional attitude, arrogant and rude, if these are the things you look for in a contractor, then this is the guy for you! He was meant to be finishing putting electricity into a garden shed. Waited weeks for him to come to do the job. He hammers the door at 07:55 to do work. Two hours later her disappeared without a word. Upon checking, he had fitted a tiny amount of wiring and one socket and a light switch. Text after text resulted in nothing. A request for an estimate of the cost of the job resulted in nothing but vauge replies and “will get back to you.” He suddenly appears one Sunday morning, then due to the fact he was asked about plastic trunking that he had put on walls (without consultation) promptly walks out from the job in a huff. Then days of silence. Repeated requests to ask for an update of what’s happening results in silence. Finally this morning (01/11/22) I call him. He says he is booked up for a week and is unsure if he could come one Saturday. Booked up??? This guy was in the middle of work here?????!!!!!! His arrogance and unprofessional attitude are off the scale. Can’t wait to see the bill, which I suspect he will churn out pretty quick for the mess he has left behind, and now I have to start all over again with another contractor. Fortunately there are a number of electricians to give buisness to. This guy is NOT the only show in town 👍 AVOID!!!

I had a problem with my fuse box keep tripping. I came across The electric man through a google search for a local electrician to come out. When I phoned Gary he said he would be with me in about a hour and a half. He was on time, a very good worker and was very helpful. He sorted my electric so I could have light and heat for the night and came back in the morning to get to the route of the problem. I would recommend him to anyone and he will definitely be my permanent electrician. Reasonably priced too. Thanks Gary for your hard work. We will be calling you back soon.

Recently moved in to our house in Carmarthen and Gary has done quite a few jobs, large to small for us. Very pleased with his work and tidiness while doing the job. Does the job when he says he'll do as well. Very reliable. Have a few more jobs for him over the coming year.

I was recommended the Electric Man at short notice as I was let down by another contractor during some work to my bathroom. He turned up when he said he would, was clean and tidy and did a good job. I was pleased until his bill arrived, his labour costs were acceptable, but he has charged me an extortionate amount for parts, £55 for a shaving socket which costs no more than £15-20, £140 for an extractor fan which costs no more than £60-£70, the charges he has put on cable are eye watering. We are currently in dispute over the bill and I have asked him to provide me with trade receipts as proof that what he is charging is fair and reasonable, he is blankly refusing to provide them. After researching the parts online he has clearly marked them up at least double the original cost. I estimate he is making as much on the parts alone as the two days labour he did on the job. He has also charged me £90 for an electrical safety certificate I didn't request or agree to. I've paid him the bulk of the invoice and held back a sum in dispute, he is threatening to take me to court, a matter i'm still deciding on how to proceed.
