I hadn't really considered using a mobile mechanic before. When my car was stuck on my drive coughing and spluttering I gave Mike a call. He was able to pop around as soon as he had finished the job he was working on and replace a couple of ignition coils and now it's running smoothly again. Very reasonable charges. Would definitely recommend him and I have booked him for some more work that needs doing on my car.

Good price, professional job, completed quickly. I've never used a mobile mechanic before - so much more convenient than the hassle of booking into a garage. Without asking, I was shown the faulty part and it was explained why it was faulty. On top of all this Mike Thompson is easy to get along with - no patronising technical talk.

Went away for three weeks on holiday, came back and on the following day attempted to use my car. As soon as I tried to move it, there was a loud banging noise and the car was heavily slanted to one side, it was completely unusable to the point I couldn't even get it off the driveway. Had no idea what to do, found Mike through a search and contacted him, he diagnosed the problem (and my make of car without me having to say) on the phone, and quoted me a price that was less than half of what a garage would cost. He came round a couple of days later after the bank holiday and in less than an hour he had fixed the problem (suspension o/s/f spring) - was very pleasant and ended up charging me less than what he had actually quoted. Tested the car out for a short drive immediately afterwards and everything seems absolutely fine, drives as well as it did beforehand. Would definitely use again if needed!

Agreed for interim service for my car next morning. I was waiting by the MT motors garage for an hour, phoned him, messaged, no answer and Mike didn't show up. Plus didn't even bother to send a text "sorry I can't make it today", only takes few seconds doesn't it ? Honestly such a poor customer service, very unreliable.

Mike responded quickly and when it was not possible to fix, without the car going up on a ramp, he said so, so no time wasted on unnecessary work. so not used for the repair because if the requirement for the ramp, but a decent chap. will use again. note, he mentioned that he was getting a Unit, so maybe next time, the ramp issue wouldn't be a problem.
